Wir planen derzeit, eine Hochschulgruppe an der Goethe-Universität Frankfurt zu gründen. Viele unserer Mitglieder und Interessierten studieren an der Goethe-Universität, daher möchten wir auch im Sinne der Europastadt Frankfurt mehr Europa-Flair an die Uni bringen. Außer der Deutschland-Stipendiatengruppe “Europa – Quo Vadis” und ansatzweise dem “Erasmus Student Network” gibt es kein nennenswertes Engagement pro Europa bzw. europapolitische Bildungsarbeit zu diesem Themenkomplex. Das möchten wir in Zukunft ändern und uns verstärkt im universitären Kontext engagieren.
We currently plan to found a student association at the Goethe University Frankfurt. Many of our members and interested people study at the Goethe University, therefore we would like to bring some European flair to our university – in the spirit of the city of Frankfurt which gave itself the title “European City”. Besides the “Deutschland-Stipendium” scholar group called “Europa – Quo Vadis” and party the “Erasmus Student Network”, there is no noteworthy commitment in support of or for the benefit of Europe, also no educational work in regard to the complicated European Union and its policies. We would like to change this in the future and be more present at the Goethe University.

Europatag am 9. Mai 2019 ● Europe Day on 9 May 2019
Stand der JEF-Hochschulgruppe beim Markt der Möglichkeiten und während des Festaktes am Europatag zum Motto “Freiheit, die wir wählen”, den die Bürgerbewegung ‘Pulse of Europe’ in Kooperation mit der Goethe-Universität Frankfurt auf dem Campus Westend organisiert hat.
Tilmann Hartung sprach für die JEF Frankfurt beim Podiumsgespräch mit Uni-Vizepräsident Prof. Rolf van Dick und einem Studierenden aus den USA über die “TruMotion Alliance”. Dabei handelt es sich um ein Bündnis von sieben Universitäten aus sechs Ländern unter Federführung der Goethe-Universität, die zusammen einen Antrag auf Finanzierung als “Europäische Universität” im Rahmen eines EU-Pilotprogramms gestellt haben.
Das Ende des Europatages bildete schließlich ein Demonstrationszug um 18:00 Uhr vom Campus Westend durch die Innenstadt bis zum Goetheplatz in der Innenstadt mit einer mobilen Ausführung der Skulptur “LOVE HATE” der deutschen Konzept- und Performance-Künstlerin Mia Florentine Weiss.
Information desk of our student association at the market of possibilities and during the festivities regarding Europe Day themed “Freedom which we elect”, organised by the citizen movement ‘Pulse of Europe’ in cooperation with the Goethe University on the ‘Campus Westend’.
Tilmann Hartung spoke on behalf of JEF Frankfurt at a panel discussion with University Vice-President Prof. Rolf van Dick and a US student about the “TruMotion Alliance”. This is an alliance of seven universities from six countries led by Goethe University. They filed an application together for financing the “European University” within the framework of an EU pilot programme.
The end of Europe Day was marked by a demonstration at 6 PM from ‘Campus Westend’ through the city center to the ‘Goetheplatz’ downtown with a mobile version of the sculpture “LOVE HATE” by the German concept and performance artist Mia Florentine Weiss.
